Man, 65, Seriously Injured In Southwest Philadelphia Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia man was rushed to the hospital after suffering serious burn injuries during a house fire early Thursday morning.
The fire started at about 7 a.m. inside a residence in the 2100 block of S. 65th Street in Southwest Philadelphia.
According to fire officials, a 65-year-old man was pulled from the burning home and was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He had reportedly suffered severe burns, but his exact condition was not immediately known.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
