Major Storm Closing In, Winter Storm Warnings Issued
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Impressive snowfall totals are likely with the Nor'easter heading here overnight and thru the morning hours on Friday.
In Philadelphia amounts between 3 to 6 inches of snow are possible, with higher amounts north and lesser amounts to the south. Lehigh Valley 5 to 10 inches of snow and up to a foot or more in the Poconos are likely. The accumulating snow in Philadelphia starts late in the day Friday, after a day of rain, and thru the early Saturday hours.

Farther north the cold starts early and the continued cold keeps the precipitation falling as snow during the day and overnight into Saturday. The winds will blow and drift the snow making travel extremely difficult. This is a dangerous storm with every precaution needed for people and pets to stay safe and dry.
