Mail Truck Loses Its Load On Bucks County Road
By Steve Beck
WARRINGTON, Pa. (CBS) – A mishap involving a tractor trailer sent thousands of pieces of mail onto a Bucks County road early Monday morning.
The incident happened at about 7:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 611 near Street Road in Warrington.
One of the straps inside the trailer, which secures the containers inside, broke and the weight of the mail shifted to the back of the trailer, which broke the back door of the trailer.
Reginald Wade Jr. with the United States Postal Inspection Service said it was predominantly "bulk business mail." This includes advertisements and catalogs, also known as standard mail; it was not first class mail.
Wade Jr. said the mail will, at most, be delayed 24 hours.
No other vehicles were involved and there were no reports of any injuries.
