Magic Rally Late To Down Sixers 99-98 In Overtime
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Ryan Anderson scored 20 points and Dwight Howard added 18 as the Magic overcame a seven-point second half deficit to outlast the Philadelphia 76ers 99-98 in overtime Wednesday night.
The Magic survived another slow start and spotty defense, but had several big baskets down the stretch, including a four-point play by Jason Richardson to send it to an extra frame.
Lou Williams led Philadelphia with 19 points and Thaddeus Young had 17.
Orlando was coming off a five-game road trip in which it finished just 2-3.
The victory also avenged a 97-89 loss to Philadelphia back on Dec. 18. The loss also ended a two-game winning streak for Philadelphia.
