Made Up Trade: Sixers Get Package In Three-Team Deal With Wizards, Suns

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's Tuesday, and that means it's Made Up Trade Day! I really think Ethan (follow on Twitter @Giles1228) stepped it up with his work this week.

We had some complaints last week that the trades were benefiting the Sixers more than the other teams. A couple of things to say about that: first, the Sixers have two sort of tradeable assets in Thad Young and Evan Turner (sort of tradeable), so there's not a ton to work with here. Second, refer to the first reason. Stop being such a grump about it, alright?
That said, I think this is the most fair one yet. Cheers, Ethan.
With that, here's this week's Made Up Trade:
Sixers Get:
Trevor Ariza ($7.7 million, one year)
Jan Vesely ($3.3 million, one year plus club option)
Jason Collins (sign & trade for veteran minimum)
Kendall Marshall ($2 million, three years)
Wizards 2014 First Round Pick (Lottery Protected)
Wizards Get:
Thaddeus Young ($8.9 million, three years)
Channing Frye ($6.4 million, two years)
Suns Get:
Evan Turner ($6.7 million, one year)
Chris Singleton ($1.6 million, two years)
Why The Sixers Do It: Are you serious? This is perfect. The Sixers get worse, add young assets, and clear salary (Thadeus Young) and grumpiness (Evan Turner). I'm a fan of everything that Sam Hinkie has done so far, but I would seriously throw a tank party for this one. The Sixers can get rid of Vesely after this season, and also take a shot on Kendall Marshall. Also, as Ethan says, by adding Jason Collins it will inspire some talk show fodder for my father.
Why The Wizards Do It: They get better. The Wizards made the decision before last season, and have continued their commitment this season to actually being good. Whether you agree with this plan is not the point (I don't), the fact is they want to make the playoffs this year. Thaddeus Young helps them do this.
Why The Suns Do It: The Suns are able to clear salary, not get much better, and take a shot on Evan Turner. Maybe the Sixers are sold that Turner isn't worth the time anymore, but it doesn't seem too far-fetched to think someone else might take a flier on him.
