Made Up Trade: Sixers Acquire Kidd-Gilchrist In Four-Team Deal

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With Sixers training camp beginning this weekend, we've got a very special made up trade for this week.
Who am I kidding, it's not any more special than any other made up trade. That isn't to say it isn't special at all.
Congrats to Ethan Giles (follow on Twitter @Giles1228) , the made up trade architect, who is celebrating his 287th fictional trade of Thaddeus Young.
Sixers Receive:
Ben Gordon ($13.2 Million, One Year)
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ($4.8 Million, Three Years)
Trade exception for Thaddeus Young from Golden State
Bobcats Receive:
Rudy Gay ($17.9 Million, Two Years)
Demar DeRozan ($9.5 Million, Four Years)
Landry Fields ($6.3 Million, Two Years)
Raptors Receive:
Ramon Sessions ($5 Million, One Years)
Bismack Biyombo ($3 Million, Two Years)
Harrison Barnes ($2.9 Million, Three Years)
Jeff Adrien ($916 Thousand, One Year)
Warriors Receive:
Thaddeus Young ($8.9 Million, Three Years)
Lavoy Allen ($3.1 Million, One Year)
Why the Sixers do it: The Sixers take on one year of a bad contract in Ben Gordon, that expires at the end of the year. They acquire a young player with plenty of upside in Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who is a true small forward, who can't shoot. We love guys with upside who can't shoot! As well, the Sixers offset the acquisition of MKG's salary with the Warriors trade exception. The Sixers also get appreciably worse this year. And even though Ben Gordon will be sure to lose a bunch of games for us, he will win one game all on his own by getting BANANAS hot from three one game and it might be some fun.
Why the Bobcats do it: Sick of trying to build the right way and failing by making questionable draft picks, the signing of Al Jefferson means that the Bobcats are ALL IN on trying to be a team that just misses out on the #8 seed. What better way for Michael Jordan to continue to screw up the team by taking on a massively terrible deal (Gay), a pretty bad deal (Fields), and at best an average deal (DeRozan)?
Why the Raptors do it: Tank city! They've been trying to get rid of bad contracts, and this is the best way to do it. Lots of upside in Barnes and at least a chance of it with Biyombo.
Why the Warrios do it: They're going for the gold, as evidenced by their chase of Dwight Howard and signing of Andre Iguodala. The Iguodala signing makes Barnes expendable, and getting Young replaces the loss of Carl Landry with an even better version of Carl Landry.
