Local Volunteers Visit Ground Zero Days Before 9/11 Anniversary
LOWER MAKEFIELD TWP., Pa. (CBS) – Volunteers from the 9/11 Garden of Reflection in Bucks County took a trip to Ground Zero on Saturday.
The tour guide was retired NYPD Officer Arnold Roma. He was in the South Tower when it collapsed and his son, Keith, died in the North Tower.
"So I firmly believe he's watching out for me," Roma says, "and this gives me a chance to sit and be calm and to catch your breath and to unscramble your head and that's how important this place is. And I think most of the families were great."
Each year the Garden of Refection Memorial picks a theme for the anniversary of 9/11 and this year the theme is "Heroism Rules."
