Some Local Flights Canceled On Southwest Airlines
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Southwest airlines grounded about 80 planes for inspection after one of its 737's was forced to make an emergency landing.
Many passengers getting off Southwest flights at Philadelphia International this weekend say they had no knowledge of the emergency landing or why several flights were delayed:
Passenger: "I was very surprised. But I didn't ask and I didn't know why."
Reporter: Is this the first time you're hearing about this?
Passenger: "Yes, this is the first time, I heard someone talking at the baggage claim, but I didn't know what they were talking about."
John Abom arrived in Philly on a flight from Tampa and says there's a bright side to the Southwest scare, "It's a good wake up call because it's going to remind all the airlines that they need to check."

On Sunday morning, two Southwest flights leaving Philadelphia were canceled.
Flight 1762, departing from Philadelphia with service to Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Oakland was cancelled, so was flight 904 to Tampa.
Three flights, Sunday afternoon, have been delayed by more than an hour. They include flights 11-16 and 10-22 to Orlando and flight 39-15 to West Palm Beach.
Southwest has canceled one flight leaving Philadelphia this evening: Flight 658 to Fort Lauderdale, which had been scheduled to leave at 8 p.m.
Flight 16-22 from Boston to Philadelphia has been cancelled, as has flight 13-69 from Tampa.
