Local Organization Sponsors Clothing Swap
BERWYN (CBS) - A Berwyn weight loss organization is sponsoring a clothing swap that is open to everyone. If you have several different sizes in your closet that are too big for you, bring them in and go home with something smaller.
Kate Worthington is a Physician Assistant for Medi Weight Loss in Berwyn and she's thrilled when she starts telling patients it's time for new clothes:
"Then they's say well honestly here at Medi, I'm only in a size for two, three weeks max and I don't want to spend the money for something I'll wear for two weeks. I'll just suck it up and wear what I have."
The clinic patients actually suggested the clothing swap. It is open to everyone if you bring something in to trade. Kate says it's motivating to reward yourself:
"I think it's important for some of my patients who have lost a significant amount of weight to get rid of those clothes because by keeping those it's kind of allowing yourself to creep back into old habits."
The swap is October 23rd from Noon to 3 p.m. at the Medi Weight Loss Clinic on Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn.
