LANGHORNE, Pa. (CBS) – A hospital in Langhorne, Bucks County is the recipient of a large grant, helping to support the expansion of its pediatric emergency care department.
The $100,000 gift is funding the new reception area in the Pediatric Emergency Care Center at Saint Mary Medical Center.
The grant was given by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region where Mike Anton is the president.
"We make grants to organizations that help children and their families so we're very pleased to be able to do this with Saint Mary's Hospital," says Anton.
"We care for about 17,000 pediatric patients a year, at Saint Mary and we are in the midst of doubling the size of our pediatric care area and the gift is going to help expand that and open that up in December of this year," says Greg Wozniak, president and chief executive officer of Saint Mary Medical Center.
