Local Couple's Trip To Egypt Interrupted By Protests
MOORESTOWN, NJ (CBS) -- Rebecca Ansel of Moorestown says that her parents love to travel. "It's always been in the back of their minds that they go to Egypt," says Ansel.
Her parents left last Tuesday, and in the days that followed, the increasing violence and unrest in Cairo started to make her nervous.
"It was very tense," Ansel says.
On Monday, she could breathe easier after surfing the web.
In video on her computer screen were her parents David and Anne in Athens, Greece. They, along with other tourists, had caught a flight out of Egypt.
"I was elated," says Ansel, who thought her parents looked fine and happy.
In a later phone call on Monday, her mom revealed what they had kept from Rebecca and her sister in an earlier phone call on Friday.

"There were demonstrators trying to get into the hotel. I think they heard gunshots. She said it was difficult to sleep," Ansel recalls her mother telling her.
Her parents are scheduled to fly home from Athens to Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday. Rebecca says she will more at peace when arrive.
"The thing that I'm looking forward to most is hugging them," Ansel says.
After that, she plans to take away their passports.
