Local Artists To Host Free Concert Benefiting Victims Of Deadly Southwest Philly Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Efforts to help the dozens displaced by the fast-moving fire that killed four young children and gutted eight homes (see related story) are continuing in Southwest Philadelphia.
Several well-known gospel artists will pay tribute at a fundraiser Monday night at the First Baptist Church of Paschall at 71st and Woodland Avenue.

The gospel fundraiser is aimed to help the victims of the Gesner Street fire rebuild their lives.
"Family members have been affected by this, friends have been affected by this and they need to be rebuilt spiritually," Gospel veteran Emmanuel Fuller says.
Fuller is also the CEO of Commonworld Entertainment and is organizing the event, which includes free performances by gospel artists Kefia Rollerson, rapper Doc Hero, Andrew Williams and others.

Fuller says there will be dinner for the impacted families, a prayer vigil and then music that will inspire others to give.
"I'm a Christian, this is what God would do...he'd find a way."
Doors open at 7 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m.
