PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Admit it, you have scrolled the annual list of top baby names, but did you know there is a list of top dog names too?
Rover.com, which is the nation's largest network of pet sitters and dog walkers, released its list of the most popular dog names of 2016.

They separated them by male and female, and found that ultimately, dog owners stuck with the classics.
The top five male dogs' names are: Max, Charlie, Buddy, Cooper and Jack.
As for the girls, the top five names are: Bella, Lucy, Daisy, Lola and Luna.

Rover found that pop culture played a part in how owners named their furry friends.
They say 53 percent of dog owners, and 75 percent of millennials, named their dog after a movie, TV character, book character or a celebrity.
