Light Snowfall May Impact Your Morning Commute
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As you step out the door this morning, you may be asking yourself, "Am I walking into a Christmas card?"
No, that's what it actually looks like! Some light, picturesque snow has been falling across parts of the Delaware Valley since well before the sun rose, giving many blocks the award for most decorative. It may look nice, but it will certainly necessitate caution on the roadways. Thankfully, you'll likely only have to brush off your car beforehand, as little to no accumulation is expected. Half an inch to an inch or so could fall in isolated locations.
The chance of some light snow and/or rain shower will linger for the rest of today. It will stay breezy, and temperatures will remain chilly, as they have been all week. After 3 straight days with precipitation in the forecast, this should be the last one. Conditions will be drying out and some well deserved sun will be returning to the Delaware Valley as we end the week and head into the weekend. Temperatures will also see a nice little "surge," if you will.
Expect the thermometer to rise a few degrees each day, nearing 50 to start the new week.
