Tonight (and every Thursday night) Vineyard Golf at Renault Winery Resort in Egg Harbor NJ features $5 appetizers and $5 glasses of wine at the bar at Joseph's Restaurant.
Cheese Steak Egg Rolls?
The Ball & Thistle Pub at Wyncote GC in Oxford is pushing weekend specials and some new dishes, including Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll appetizers ($8) that sound interesting with onions, peppers & spicy ketchup.
Key West Inspired
Riverview Country Club in Easton has "Key West Inspired" Thursday Night Dinners at The Villa on the Green. Dine alfresco or indoors and take advantage of specials each week.
Crabby Golf
One week from tonight, White Oaks Country in Newfield, NJ holds a Crag Legs and Golf Special. $50 gets you golf at any time during the day and all-you-can-eat Crab Legs starting at 4pm. You need to present an email to receive the golf special, so you'll need to sign up for their email updates.
Par 'n Bar
The following night, Friday, May 27, Ballamor's Par 'n Bar events begin for the season. They include nine holes of golf, a half keg of beer and homestyle BBQ for $49.50. Par 'n Bar nights run ever Friday through Labor Day weekend at Ballamor, which is in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Man vs. Food
Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE is using a different strategy, appealing to the competitor in all of us. They want to know if you have the guts to take on the Doomsday Burger! Pictured above, the Doomsday is a "two pound monster made up of two ten ounce Black Angus beef patties, each topped with bacon and cheese. Lettuce, tomato and onions reside peacefully on top while the middle is stuffed - yes, stuffed - with a buttery Grilled Cheese Sandwich!"
If you can conquer the Doomsday, you'll be wheeled to your car (that's right, a wheelchair) and your name appear on the "Survivors Wall" in the Pub & Grille.
That's quite an honor, nearly on a par with seeing your name on the Club Championship plaque.
