LeSean McCoy Takes Some Blame For The Cowboys Loss
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Most of the talk about the Eagles ugly, 17-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, has been about the quarterback. Nick Foles was by all accounts, terrible, missing receivers, and often times holding the ball far too long. Foles was inaccurate and ineffective.
Chip Kelly mentioned after the game, that although Foles was "off," he was not the only one to blame. LeSean McCoy agrees with that sentiment.
"A lot of it comes down to myself. I didn't play very well, I think just looking at the tape and just feeling the game out, I wasn't myself," McCoy said Monday night on the 94WIP Players Lounge with Anthony Gargano and Ike Reese. "I think probably, my whole career here, I mean that's probably my worst game since my rookie year to be honest."
"There's so many things and plays that people want to blame maybe Nick [Foles] for, or different guys, but just to be honest I think we all didn't play well as an offense. I can you tell from myself, from actually being a guy in the offense that didn't play well."
McCoy rushed for 55 yards on 18 carries, and caught six passes for another six yards. As poorly as he played, he still led the Eagles in yards from scrimmage. Often times it looked like McCoy was trying to go for the big gain, rather than taking what the Cowboys were giving.
"On the screen play, there were so much yards on that and I reversed fields and I shouldn't have. It was a play I should have made, kept it front side. I was selfish on that play. A couple of other plays I think---the long stretches, the long stretch plays. I got to watch to the tape again, to really see it, but I felt like in that game where maybe I could have kept it front side. I felt pressure and I came back underneath and cut the ball across into the defense," McCoy said. "I think once they stopped me a couple of times, that alarm, that clock goes off in your head, 'I gotta make a play.' And when that happens, it's a lot of time where it definitely works. Yesterday [Sunday] it didn't work at all. Every play I tried to hit a home run, where I shoulda just been disciplined as a back and that's just being honest. I don't think most people would say it, but that's the truth because I know the lineman would take a lot of blame for everything and that's not the case."

The Eagles missed their chance at the NFC East lead, and now, after the Giants Monday night win, sit just two games ahead of the 1-6 Giants. Most troubling is that the it was the offense that stalled on Sunday for the Eagles, the part of the team that had been the most dependable this season.
"As an offense we wasn't clicking, we weren't clicking at all, so many three and outs, and they didn't do anything that special," McCoy said. "They played a regular defense, sit you down kind of over the tight end, man across the board---what everybody has been playing us other than Tampa Bay. Just to be honest, we didn't capitalize, we didn't make plays. When there were plays to be made we didn't make them."
