LeSean McCoy Says His Rivalry With Osi Umenyiora Is Over
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Next time the Giants play the Eagles, we're going to have to find a new angle to make it interesting. Sadly, LeSean McCoy vs. Osi Umenyiora is over.
"We crossed paths a couple times, we gave each other the eye," McCoy said on the SportsRadio WIP Player's Lounge show on Monday. "In the warmups, we looked at each other funny. I think after the game, it's time to get over this Osi and LeSean thing because after the game [Umenyiora] said 'you're a heck of a player, we're in this business, let's get over this.' He said, 'let's be done with it.' Being a bigger man, also for myself, you've got to focus on the Giants, they're a good team already. My goal is not an inter-division battle with Osi. It's with the Giants, and trying to get to the Super Bowl."

McCoy vs. Umenyiora was in a class of rivalries that had such peers as the Seinfeld and Newman, Rocky and Apollo Creed, and maybe something pretty intense that actually happened in something other than a fictional story. Hafields and the McCoys, at least that one was based in reality.
The most recent shot between the two happened in the days before Sunday's game, when McCoy referred to Umenyiora as a "ballerina."
It was fun while it lasted. We can only hope Bryce Brown says something to slight Justin Tuck before the next big game between the Eagles and Giants.
