LeSean McCoy On His And Jeremy Maclin's Future With Eagles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At the end of any professional sports season it is clear that change will be on the horizon. Several Eagles players will face the reality that they may have played their final game in midnight green.
On Monday, LeSean McCoy joined Ike Reese and Rob Ellis on The Players Lounge and talked about the Eagles future with several players including himself.
McCoy took some time to touch on the impending free agency of Jeremy Maclin who returned from a season off due to injury to be the Eagles' top option at the wide receiver position as he caught more than 80 passes for more than 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns.
"Mac's staying. He isn't going anywhere," McCoy said confidently when asked about his teammates future with the team.

Maclin posted a picture on Instagram earlier in the day that lends itself to the fact that the Eagles' two best offensive weapons certainly have a strong relationship.
McCoy stressed that Maclin was not all of sudden a player that was capable of producing at that rate. He believes that Maclin's impressive totals were a simple product of opportunity.
McCoy described what the Maclin-DeSean Jackson one-two punch dynamic was really like for Maclin and emphasized that often times the game plan ignored Maclin's talents to further utilize the down field abilities of Jackson.
If Maclin is brought back on a new contract, he will undoubtedly have the opportunities, if not even more, that he needs to have the type of success he had in 2014.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, like McCoy, is hopeful that Maclin will return as well.
McCoy also addressed his own future with the Eagles. McCoy is not a free agent like Maclin, but he understands the business side of football and knows that sometimes teams have to part with players due to financial health.
As McCoy recognizes the possibility of not being an Eagle, he makes it clear that he wants to stay in town.
"I love Philadelphia," McCoy said on Monday. He raved about the passion of the fans. He cited the proximity to his native Harrisburg and stressed the fact that he has not left the state when you factor in his college days at Pittsburgh.
McCoy also talked about how happy he is with playing for Chip Kelly, despite the fact that he did not take to Kelly when he first arrived.
"The stuff he sees for me and my future is the same as what I see for myself," McCoy said of his head coach.
It appears, judging from the statements made by both Kelly and McCoy on Monday, the two definitely do not want to part ways.
