Last Minute Shopping Rush For Thanksgiving Dinner

BALA CYNWYD, Pa. (CBS) -- The last minute must haves needed to cook a proper Thanksgiving meal includes fresh kale for Vee Watts.

"Come on over for dinner," Watts told Eyewitness News reporter Todd Quinones.

Yams stuffing and cranberry sauce were all in demand, but for Taroyn Allen he had to start at the beginning -- picking up one frozen turkey for his sister and another for himself.

"Do you think there is enough time for it to defrost?" I asked. "I hope so. Maybe I'll put it in water overnight. I hope it works and we won't have a frozen turkey for dinner" Alen said.

Laurie Hart brought her daughter McKenzie for the last minute trip.

"We already ate our pecan pie. We had to come back and get some ice cream and stuff for another pie," Hart said.

But beyond all the great food, 63-year-old Roosevelt Harris shared with us some of the things he is most thankful for.

"God is good to me and he blessed me with a beautiful family," Harris said.
