Video: Kyle Lowry Watches Villanova-Kansas During Post-Game Press Conference
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Immediately after the Toronto Raptors beat the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday evening, Philly native and Raptors all-star point guard couldn't wait to get into the locker room.
His Alma Mater, Villanova, was competing against Kansas for a Final Four birth. In fact, Lowry couldn't even stop watching the Elite 8 matchup -- or commenting on the game -- when talking to reporters.
"Yeah Daniel [Ochefu]!" Lowry said, cutting off himself when asked about his team's win. "Sorry, really not into this [press conference] right now.
"We continue to get better -- that's a charge! -- We continue to get better every single game, throughout the game."
For Lowry, it was a double-win night, as Nova defeated Kansas to win the South Regional Final and reach their first Final Four since 2009.
On Saturday, April 2nd, Villanova will face Oklahoma at 6:09 p.m. E.T. in Houston, Texas. Just about 200 miles away, in San Antonio, the Spurs will host Lowry and the Raptors at 8:30 p.m. E.T.
Lowry will have to sneak away from pregame warm ups to catch the end of the Nova-OU game.
