Kids Excited To Be Part Of LEGOLAND Groundbreaking At Plymouth Meeting Mall
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (CBS) -- It was "Play Time" this morning at the Plymouth Meeting Mall for a groundbreaking ceremony involving 50,000 Lego bricks.
Seven-year-old Patrick couldn't wait for this day to come.
"I'm so excited. When I heard I got this field trip I was like, 'Ahhh!'"
Patrick and first grade classmates at Plymouth Elementary put on hard hats and played with tens of thousands of Legos, dumped for the ceremony.

Set to open in spring 2017, it's the first LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Pennsylvania and will include a themed-ride, a 4D theater and Philly landmarks made of Legos.
Joe Coradino, CEO of mall owner PREIT, says this new destination is a big magnet.

"This is really the top of the mark, if you will. There's a million kids within a 60 minute drive of here."
And that includes Patrick who already has big ideas.
"Imagining a whole new Lego world like in another dimension."
