Kelly On Peters: 'I Thought He Was Channeling His Inner Craig Berube'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- He couldn't control his anger and no one is blaming him one bit. Not even his coach.
After Redskins defensive lineman Chris Baker leveled Nick Foles following an interception that was later overturned and called incomplete, Jason Peters went after Baker like a missile.
"I thought he was channeling his inner Craig Berube," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said on Monday morning on the 94WIP Morning Show.
Peters was defending his quarterback, and along with Baker, was ejected from the game leaving an already depleted Eagles' offensive line without their Pro Bowl left-tackle.
Kelly was asked by Angelo Cataldi on 94WIP if he is willing to accept Peters sacrificing himself in defense of the Eagles' quarterback. After about four second of silence, Kelly simply said, "next question."

As for Foles, Kelly commended his toughness.
"One of the underrated qualities, I think, of any good quarterback is toughness," Kelly said. "You have to stand in the pocket and throw the football with three hundred pound guys coming down. You're not allowed to look at the rush, and throw the ball down field. I think Nick, obviously because of our situation up front---our guys battled up front, but he took some shots and just stood in there and just kept making plays for us."
Former Eagles wide out DeSean Jackson, who was supposedly yapping at the Eagles sideline throughout the game, made his impact felt in his return to the Linc. Jackson finished with five catches for 117 yards, including a 81-yard game-tying second-half touchdown catch.
"I didn't see DeSean talking to our sideline or didn't say anything specifically and I was on the sideline," Kelly explained. "So, that's how he's always played and I'll give him credit, he played a really good game against us."
