K-9 Blood Drive At Burlington Co. Red Cross
LUMBERTON, N.J. (CBS) - Animals helping animals in need. A K-9 blood drive is taking place in Burlington County this weekend.
New dog blood donors must be no more than 6 years old, 55 to 150 pounds and up to date on vaccines.
Elaine Sullivan is a volunteer for the American Red Cross Pet Aid Team of Burlington County.
"And what you get in return is you get, your dog gets like an extensive blood work screening every single year, which is very valuable to make sure that your dog is healthy," she said. "You also get a screening on any kind of tick born diseases like lime disease. You also get a free heart worm test if enrolled in the program."
The Penn Animal Bloodmobile will be in the Red Cross parking lot along Route 38 in Lumberton from 9am to 1pm Saturday. Apointments are required. Call (609) 702-7211 or go to www.burlingtoncountypetaid.org
