Jury Rehears Testimony of West Phila. Abortion Aide Who Pleaded Guilty

By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The jury in the trial of West Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell today reheard some testimony of a second former clinic worker who has pleaded guilty in the gruesome case.

The jury asked to rehear the testimony of Adrienne Moton, who admitted cutting the necks of at least ten babies.  She said that's what she was told to do by Dr. Gosnell when the babies were moving, and she saw Gosnell do it countless times.

But what has been lost during the clinical readback of Moton's testimony is the emotion: she broke down several times on the witness stand while testifying.

The sequence of questions suggests that jurors are making their way through the murder counts.  The murder admitted to my Moton and alleged against Gosnell is the third of five murders listed on the jury verdict sheet.

Gosnell is accused of the first-degree murder of four babies allegedly born alive and viable, and of third-degree murder in the death of a patient who died during an abortion.
