Kings Goalie Jonathan Quick Could Miss Significant Time With Lower-Body Injury
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers may have caught a break.
Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick suffered a "lower-body" injury in the second period of Wednesday's debut against the San Jose Sharks. The Flyers open their season on Friday night in LA against the Kings.
Kings president and general manager Dean Lombardi said Quick could miss significant time with the injury.
Quick, 30, stopped 14 of 15 shots in the first period. The Sharks beat the Kings 2-1.
In 68 games last season, Quick was 40-23 with a .918 save percentage and a 2.22 goals against average.
