Jon Runyan: 'I Still Don't Get The Nick Foles' Trade
By Ray Boyd
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Congressman and Philadelphia Eagle Jon Runyan joined Josh Innes and Tony Bruno on Wednesday afternoon on 94WIP. The former Eagles offensive lineman shared his take on the Eagles' off-season moves.
"I still don't get the Nick Foles thing," Runyan said about the Eagles decision to send Foles to the Rams in a swap that landed them Sam Bradford.
"That's probably still a work in progress," Runyan said as he noted that the quarterback situation in Philadelphia may become clearer when the draft arrives.

Runyan also asserted that what Kelly is doing is drastic, but not unprecedented.
"Remember when you brought Andy Reid in here quite a few years back," Runyan said. "[Reid] came in and cleaned house day one. Chip's just taken two years to get there.
"He's putting people around him that are going to buy into his system, promote the culture that he wants in the locker room and that's how in his mind he believes it is going to work."
Runyan added that Kelly is doing what he believes will make the Eagles a better team and that the fan base may need to brace for some turbulent time. "It's probably going to get a little bit worse before it gets better," Runyan explained.
