Jersey Shore Towns Trying To Clean Up Sandy Debris Before Summer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With the summer beach season just around the corner, New Jersey shore towns are working to remove the debris from Hurricane Sandy that keeps washing ashore.
Paul Harris has seen it all: "Loads and loads of lumber. People's decks. Pieces of boats. Pieces of homes."
Harris heads the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association, a group that maintains beach access for sport fishing. He says whenever there's a northeast wind, the ocean will deposit debris from Sandy along the shoreline. He says boaters and beachgoers - even in Atlantic and Cape May Counties -- should be careful.
"I would advise everyone to be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on what you're doing in the water for at least the beginning of the summer."
Harris says his group cleaned up at Island Beach State Park three weeks ago, and days later more beach junk appeared.
