Jersey Shore Town Makes List Of '10 Best Beaches For Families' In U.S.
OCEAN CITY, N.J., (CBS) – A family-travel website has named a Jersey Shore town one of the 10 best beaches for families in the United States.
Ocean City, New Jersey made Family Vacation Critic's 10 Best Beaches for Families list for 2014.
Family Vacation Critic, a subsidiary of TripAdvisor, considered beaches that offer "a combination of calm, clean water and sand, patrolled by lifeguards and complemented by nearby eateries and attractions, such as boardwalks and playgrounds."
The website mentioned Ocean City's no-alcohol policy, numerous nearby activities and budget-friendly accommodations near the beach.
Other destinations that made the list include Myrtle Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Humiston Beach in Vero Beach, Florida and Coronado Municipal Beach in Coronado, California.
