Jersey Shore Casinos Plan For Possible Online Betting

GALLOWAY, N.J. (CBS) - Nevada became the first state in America to get internet gambling up and running while Delaware and New Jersey work on their own plans.
Nevada's offering online poker for money, but you have to be within the state to place a bet. The same restriction will be in place around here.
But Stockton College gaming expert Israel Posner suggests the Garden State will have a leg up on its' western competition since there are far more residents within New Jersey's borders likely to sign up.
And the casinos down the shore are planning accordingly.
"All the brick and mortar operators will have partners with various relationships that will gather the best expertise and technology in the world to be able to run their internet gaming operations," Posner explains.
He believes state regulators will complete their rule making in time for New Jersey to begin online gambling early next year; and don't be surprised if a lot of other states jump on the bandwagon.
