Jeremy Maclin Happy To Reunite With Andy Reid On The Field
By Ray Boyd
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Jeremy Maclin left the only NFL home he's ever known to return to his home-state of Missouri, to reunite with the coach that drafted him. There were a lot of interesting story lines surrounding Maclin's decision to sign with the Chiefs.
The Chiefs opened OTAs on Tuesday and it marked the first time that Maclin was back on the practice field with Andy Reid. Maclin posted a picture with his new (old) head coach and made it clear he likes the reunion.
Maclin played four seasons under Reid after being drafted in 2009 out of Missouri. His best season under Reid came in 2010 when Maclin caught 70 passes for 964 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He topped those numbers in his only season on the field for Chip Kelly. Maclin caught 85 passes (career-high) for 1,318 yards (career-high) and again scored 10 touchdowns in 2014.
That season under Kelly ironically led to Maclin getting priced out of the Eagles range and setup his return to Missouri to reunite with Big Red.
