Jay Lloyd's Getaway: Phillies' Away Games in Nearby Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. (CBS) -- The most memorable getaway for KYW's Jay Lloyd last year was sailing into Baltimore's inner harbor for an Orioles baseball game (see previous story).
This week, there's another reason to go.
Hordes of Phillies fans will be following the team into Baltimore this weekend for one of the greatest ballpark experiences within a few hours of home. Hotels ring the ball park with spectacular views of the Inner Harbor. Phillies buffs find the setting dynamic.
"You're in the city and the stadium is so accessible, it's right here," said one fan. "You can see it."
And it's surrounded by attractions including the National Aquarium, restaurants, and shops, all within a few blocks.
Some fans have been combining baseball and Baltimore attractions for years.
"That was extra special, when you saw the Phillies here," noted one.
Hotels have special baseball packages, with the Sheraton Inner Harbor including tickets and drinks at the game.
And, with the Phils in town, it's party time!
