Jay Lloyd's Getaway: Chowing Down in Toronto

TORONTO, Ont., CANADA (CBS) -- Border hopping may be an extreme path to a Philly cheesesteak, but sometimes it's worth the effort.
For one in particular, you've got to go before baseball season ends, because this take on the Philly cheesesteak can only be found at Blue Jays Stadium in Toronto. It involves Canadian cheddar sauce and flavorful Alberta beef brisket.
"We smoke it in our own smoker," says chef Kevin Birch. "We put it in a brine first. We dry-rub it, smoke it for a couple of hours, and it comes out just like butter."
Birch is one reason that Toronto has become a restaurant city.
From the view at Bar Milano on the Harborfront (below) to restaurant row on King Street (top photo) -- where you'll find the familiar and the exotic -- to Miller's Tavern near the hockey rink if you're in town for a matchup between the Flyers and the Maple Leafs, Toronto has become a real muncher's mecca!
