Jason Kelce Says The Versatile Sproles Is Better Suited For Eagles Offense Than Jackson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Darren Sproles or DeSean Jackson? It's been a common question among fans, on sports talk radio shows, and on Twitter with Jackson returning to Philly this weekend. On Thursday, 78-percent of fans said on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show Audio Roadshow poll question that Sproles is the better offensive weapon than Jackson.
94WIP Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi asked Eagles center Jason Kelce who is better suited in Chip Kelly's offense: An elite receiver like DeSean Jackson or a versatile player like Darren Sproles?
"The versatile player," Kelce admitted on Friday morning. "I don't think it matters whether you are a running back, receiver, quarterback---I think Kelly's offense really thrives I think on versatility and ability to adapt and do many different things. I think that allows his offense to expand to the size that it is and it makes the defense harder to adjust to every single thing out there. Darren Sproles is a great example of what that is, so is LeSean McCoy really. They both are extremely efficient at running the football, catching the football, running screens, blocking. I mean they could do everything across the running back spectrum very well. Whenever you have players that are versatile, that expands the offense."

There is a ton of hype surrounding Jackson's return to Philadelphia, but Kelce isn't phased by it.
"To be honest, I hadn't even thought about it until a couple media people asked me yesterday about it," Kelce said. "It's just one of those things, we've got guys around the league. Every single week you play, you are probably playing somebody---either a former college teammate, a former NFL teammate. So there's guys all over the place that you are playing that you used to play with. DeSean, obviously, was a really big play maker for us for a number of years. Obviously, we're just kinda trying to focus on our deal, make sure that we're as ready as possible. We'll say hello before and after the game, but other than that we're kind of focused on beating the Redskins."
