'Jam on the River' Returns to Penn's Landing After Six-Year Hiatus

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A half-dozen bands, many of them local, are headlined this year as Penn's Landing hosts a jam-packed day of music this Memorial Day weekend.
After a six-year hiatus, the "Jam On The River" music festival returns to Philadelphia's waterfront on Sunday afternoon, May 25th.
"All just great, great musicians," says Geoff Gordon, regional president for concert promoter Live Nation. "Very textural, very cool stuff."
Jam on the River brings a distinctly local flavor, since many of the acts, including electronic jam band "Lotus," have Philadelphia ties. Same for "'Griz," which is Philadelphia native Chris Grunwald, who brings folk influences to the stage.
Philadelphia's "Grimace Federation" is also on the card with Conspirator, Papadosio, and Zoogma.
Organizers are expecting about 5,000 attendees for this year's fest.
