It Wouldn't Be A Holiday Season Without The Nutcracker
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Nutcracker opens tonight at the Academy of Music.
The Academy of Music was filled for the final dress rehearsal for the Nutcracker. Thirteen-year-old Maria Santangelo of Abington is playing Marie for the second straight year.
She's been dancing for about four or five years and feels it's her best part yet, "I kind of like everything. I like her enthusiasm and everything."
Fourteen- year-old Peter Weil of Jenkintown has been playing the Prince for four years.
Does he give Maria advice? "I gave her some tips. It was just getting over the awkwardness but we're friends, so it's not bad."
The Nutcracker will be at the Academy of Music through December 31st.
