Internet Gamblers In AC Encounter Some Problems

By David Madden

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS)--Internet gambling arrived at a half dozen Atlantic City casinos this week.

Play is confined to within the state of New Jersey but some problems have been encountered, such as credit cards being rejected because banks and card issuers want no parts of online gaming.

Chances are you've never heard of "Skrill," but CEO Neil Steinhardt is taking his virtual wallet service into the Tropicana web site with prospects for growth.

Not that the company's limited to gambling,"It's a small part of our portfolio but it's an exciting part. It's a vertical that we actually excel in. We are the biggest digital wallet gaming operators in Europe and we're looking forward to replicating that success in the U.S."

If you've got a PayPal account you know how this works. You deposit money in an account and they hold it for you until you're ready to play.

He expects to have agreements with the other websites set up in New Jersey, as well as online gaming now operating in Delaware and Nevada.
