FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- More than 200 people gathered today at a hotel in Feasterville to mark the Holocaust Survivors Day of Liberation.
The luncheon, sponsored by the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia, is designed to allow survivors of the Holocaust and their families and friends to mix and mingle, sometimes with people with whom they had been in the concentration camps.
Devora Neuman (center of photo) was 15 years old when she was taken from her family in Poland and sent to work in the camps.
She remembered the day the Nazis came to her town.
"The first thing was, they burned the synagogue. We could see it from however far away we were, and then we were, the whole town, afraid," she told KYW Newsradio today. "One day they took away the fathers, one day the mothers, one day a kid."

Neuman survived three years in the concentration camps before she and other girls were freed by the Russians.
She says there are many things that happened in the camps that she will never tell, because those listening would not be able to sleep at night after that.
