Ice Hockey: Flyers Back Home, Hosting Phoenix
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers return to the Wells Fargo Center tonight to host the surprising Phoenix Coyotes.
Philadelphia hasn't been home since beating the Blue Jackets, 9-2, on November 5th.
Since then, the Flyers went 2-0-1 on a three-game road trip through the southeast, beating the Panthers and the Hurricanes and losing in overtime to Tampa Bay.
The Flyers have picked up at least one point in seven straight games, and overall they sit at 10-4-3. They are tied with the New York Rangers for second place in the Atlantic Division. Both teams are two points behind first-place Pittsburgh.
An interesting storyline tonight will be Flyers' goalie Ilya Bryzgalov (photo) facing his old team, the Coyotes. Bryzgalov was acquired from the Coyotes during the off season.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Dave Isaac, who covers the Flyers for PhillySportsDaily.com, to get his insight into the matchup.
