Iams and Eukanuba Recalls

Iams and Eukanuba Dog and Cat Food, a Procter and Gamble Company, has recalled several of its veterinary and some specialized dry pet food as a precautionary measure because it has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. No salmonella-related illnesses have been reported. These are the recalled products: All Iams Veterinary Dry Formulas, all dry sizes and varieties. All Eukanuba Naturally Wild, all dry sizes and varieties, All Eukanuba Pure, all dry sizes and varieties, and Eukanuba Dry Custom Care Sensitive Skin, all sizes.
The affected products are sold in veterinary clinics and specialty pet retailers throughout the country. No canned food, biscuits/treats or supplements are affected by this recall. A full listing of UPC codes can be found at www.iams.com.
If you've purchased these products, either discard them immediately or call Iams at 877-340-8823 for a full refund.
Symptoms of salmonella include lethargic behavior, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, fever, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea and vomiting. If you suspect your pet has contracted salmonella, contact your veterinarian right away.
