Hundreds Take A Freezing Swim In Sea Isle City
SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. (CBS) - Some very brave souls took a chilly dip in the Atlantic Ocean Saturday afternoon in Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
Hundreds of folks came to the island to take part in the annual Polar Bear Plunge. Some people created costumes and others had on very creative attire as they frolicked in the ocean at JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue.
A bridal party was even among those taking the plunge (pictured above).
"I can say I did it and I'm never doing it again," the bride-to-be said.
Proceeds from the plunge benefit citywide events sponsored by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce.
