Hugs And Tears For Soon-To-Close West Catholic

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)- Outside West Catholic High School, students huddled and hugged -- some cried, upon news that the school is on the closing list.
Brandon Calhoun will be in West Catholic's final graduation class, marking the end of an illustrious nearly century-long school history and personal family legacy.

"My grandma, she graduated from here and my mom went here after her. And they wanted me to come here to fill in their footsteps. And now it's closing. I really wanted to send my kids here."
Once separate boys' and girls' schools, dwindling enrollment forced consolidation in 1989, and now that closing.
