House Ethics Committee Postpones Decision on Rob Andrews Travel Probe

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS) -- The House Ethics Committee is extending indefinitely its investigation into South Jersey congressman Rob Andrews (D-NJ), who has been accused of using tens of thousands of dollars in his campaign fund for personal travel.
The committee received a 244-page report from Congressional investigators back in April. That report suggests Andrews was not fully cooperative with them and redacted many of the credit card receipts they reviewed.
At issue is a trip to Scotland and several to the West Coast, where one of his daughters is pursuing an acting and singing career.
Before the committee's decision was announced, Andrews said he had expected the delay.
"When they look at it they'll find out that we followed all the rules and met all the standards and have done everything we were supposed to do," he told KYW Newsradio.
The original complaint was filed by a Washington-based fiscal watchdog group, but Camden County Republicans have also taken Andrews to task over his travel practices.
