Hottest Team in the City? It's Drexel

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Drexel Dragons are on an eight-game winning streak and they have won 14 of 15. They will try to keep the good times rollin' on Saturday afternoon, when they host rival Delaware.
Last time out, Drexel avenged their only loss during this 14-out-of-15 run, smothering Georgia State at the DAC, 68-46.
Dragons head coach Bruiser Flint says his team raised its level of play in that game compared to the first meeting with the Panthers on January 2nd.
"We did a better job of handling the job against them, and I thought we played great defense in the second half," Flint says.

The win improved Drexel to 16-5 overall, and 9-0 at home. They are also now 8-2 in the CAA. Their only other league loss came at the hands of Delaware, in Newark, back in early December.
Flint minces no words when remembering that game:
"They kicked our butts," he says. "Their big guys really dominated us in the game. (Delaware senior guard) Devon Saddler had 30 points."
That loss dropped the Dragons to 2-4. Needless to say, Drexel has trended upward since then, and Flint says one big reason why is they just got healthy, allowing him to use his full arsenal of players.
"I think what it did is, it just put everybody in their comfort zone. Our substitution patterns, I'm not asking guys to score who I usually don't asked to score, things like that. Not having one of your guys, even just to practice and to make practice flow the way you like it to flow, not having guys around hurt us. But guys have gotten back. I think everybody is real comfortable in their spot, and what they are supposed to be doing."
And Flint is looking forward to locking up with the rival Blue Hens again.
"The Delaware-Drexel series is our rivalry game. It's a tough game no matter what the records are. They are going to come out, they are going to play hard. We know that."
Delaware sits at 9-11 on the season, and are 5-5 in the CAA.
Tipoff is set for Saturday at 2:00pm at the DAC.
