Horses Safely Removed From Atlantic City Expressway
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Several horses have been safely removed from the Atlantic City Expressway after causing a traffic jam Monday night.
New Jersey State police were called out to the AC Expressway around 6 p.m. near mile mark 40 in Gloucester Township.
Approximately four horses were on the loose in the northbound lanes between exits 38 and 41. Traffic was backed up as a result.
It was not immediately clear how the horses entered the roadway.
State police say all of the horses were safely removed from the expressway shortly before 7:30 p.m.
