Homicide Detectives Now Investigating Strawberry Mansion Suspicious Deaths

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Homicide detectives are now investigating the case of an elderly couple discovered dead inside their Strawberry Mansion home (see previous story).
Sources tell CBS3 Eyewitness News that police are questioning two persons of interest in the case.
This case has turned from tragic, if not mysterious and bizarre, to something that may turn into a criminal investigation. Police collected evidence in full protective gear on Friday at the scene.
Algladis Perry, 66, and Rufus Perry, 79, were found dead in their home in the 2500 block of Spangler Street on Thursday morning.
The couple's 39-year-old daughter found them in the living room and then called the authorities.
At the time, police found no obvious signs of trauma, and the house did not show any obvious signs of forced entry.
Carbon monoxide levels inside the home were tested as well, allowing investigators to rule out the gas as a possible cause of death.
Initially, no signs of foul play were found at the home. Now, the investigation has changed, and homicide detectives have joined the case.
The persons of interest have not been charged or arrested. Police continue to investigate the cause of the elderly couple's deaths.
