Homeowner Pistol-Whipped In Southwest Philadelphia Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for several suspects in connection with an armed home invasion early Friday morning.
The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 6700 block of Trinity Street in Southwest Philadelphia.
According to investigators, the suspects knocked on the door and forced their way inside when a resident answered the door.
Authorities say at least one of the suspects was armed and pistol-whipped the 30-year-old homeowner during the invasion.
The suspects took $1,500 in cash, as well as a set of keys before running out of the home in an unknown direction.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with injuries to his face and head. He is listed in stable condition.
Investigators say the suspects wore masks during the invasion.
Police are currently interviewing two other residents who were inside the home at the time incident. They were not injured.
