Home Video Report: Schwarzenegger, Brando, and Marilyn
By Bob Nelson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The month of August brings some major movie personalities making their mark via Blu-ray.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's Total Recall is a violent film currently released in a new, mind-bending edition.
John Cusack was murderously funny as an assassin in the 1997 dark comedy, Grosse Pointe Blank.
John Garfield stars as a guilt-ridden lawyer working for a crime syndicate in 1948's Forces of Evil.
Marlon Brando stars in The Island of Dr. Moreau, from 1996 -- an update of 1932's Island of Lost Souls -- with Brando playing a mad scientist.
There's also Jean Renoir's classic 1937 anti-war film, La Grand Illusion.
And last (but far from least), the new Blu-ray set "Forever Marilyn" is a compilation of four Monroe films marking the 50th anniversary of the tragic passing of the celluloid siren who was also a brilliant comedienne.
