Home Video Report: New DVDs Amid A Changing Landscape
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A recent article in the New York Times reminds us how much the nature of DVDs has changed in recent months.
The home video business certainly has changed in a technical sense. For example, Blu-ray disks -- introduced in 2006 -- offer considerably more space for data than the standard DVDs. And those neighborhood video rental shops are rapidly disappearing.
However, there are a number of topical subjects just out on home video -- such as Inside Job, the award-winning documentary detailing the global financial crisis.
In an entertainment vein, The Next Three Days features Russell Crowe (above) as a husband trying to free his wife, played by Elizabeth Banks, from jail for a crime she didn't commit.
Morning Glory is a popular release featuring Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams, and the two-disk final season of "Hannah Montana Forever" comes complete with a 28-page memory book.
