Home Video Report: Latest Woody Allen Flick Hits DVD
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Vanity and self-deception are the central themes of the Woody Allen film You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger (above), shot in London with an all-star cast that included Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin, and Gemma Jones, and now coming out on DVD.
Waiting For Superman may sound like make-believe, but it's a powerful and alarming documentary by David Guggenheim proposing charter schools as the answer to our failing public school system.
On the other hand, Unstoppable is an exciting feature about a train with toxic chemicals headed for disaster but taken under control by a veteran engineer and a young conductor and starring Denzel Washington.
Also out on DVD this week is "The Vitaphone Cavalcade of Musical Comedy Shorts," a six-disk collection of Warner Brother mini-musicals, including one with the famous Gumm Sisters (one of whom was later known as Judy Garland).
