Home Video Report: A Slow Summer Week For DVDs
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Familiarity certainly isn't the driving force behind this week's slim selection of videos. However, there are a few items worthy of attention.
First, there's Jumping The Broom, in which two African-American families from different social backgrounds gather for a weekend wedding on Cape Cod but the social activities fail to come off as expected. Angela Bassett and Paula Patton (photo) are featured.
Mars Needs Moms is the title of an animated comedy featuring the voices of Seth Grimes and Joan Cusack. It deals with a youngster trying to save his mother from space aliens.
And, from 1996, we have Johnny Depp and Robert Mitchum in Dead Man, a vintage-style Western making its debut on Blu-ray.
